Meta-coaching is founded and rooted in the mind-body-emotion fields of Neuro-linguistics and Neuro-semantics.
"Neuro" means all that is in the mind like ideas, thoughts, understandings, beliefs, memories etc
"Linguistics" is the symbol system of how we represents things in our mind through words, what we see, hear, feel etc.
"Semantics" are the meanings that we create and how we embody them (incorporate them into our neurology)
A meta-coach will coach you to transfer your highest and most well-developed ideas into your body. By doing this, they will no longer just be "in the mind" but in the body too which will mean that you can "live them out" on a daily basis.
What else is meta-coaching about?
- Meta-coaching is above the content
A meta-coach will work with the structure and process about the content (and not with content itself). This means recognizing and detecting patterns about beliefs, mindsets, frames, processes and structures. This means focusing on the inner-game (what is in the mind) to empower you to run your own brain and achieve your highest outcomes.
- Meta-coaching is about inner resources and empowerment
A meta-coach will not train, teach and give advice, as we assume that you have the necessary internal resources to succeed. The coach will act as a facilitator by using models and processes to mobilize what is there already.
- Meta-coaching takes performance to a higher level
Mainstream coaching has performance as the first outcome. Meta-coaching takes performance to the next level of being masterful in mind, emotion, body and spirit. Meta-coaching transcends traditional performance coaching, as it takes you to a higher level of developmental and transformational change. That is why it is called "meta", meaning a higher level, above and beyond.
- Meta-coaching works holistically with your system
By forging the multiple intelligences of emotion (E.Q), intelligence (I.Q) and spirit (S.Q), we coach the mind-body-spirit-emotion system as a whole. We do this to create synergy by using the Matrix model, which unites both cognitive psychology with developmental and self-actualization psychology.
- Meta-coaching uses cutting edge coaching models
This coaching methodology utilizes 7 meta-models, based in the cognitive-behavioural, developmental and self-actualization psychologies. This forms the systematic framework of meta-coaching. It provides the coach with a structural and theoretically-informed understanding of the coaching process, protecting you from a "grab-bag of tricks" approach.
